Subject: Support for Residents' Parking Scheme in Clifton

I hope you are well.

On behalf of St Peter’s School, I would like to reiterate our support for the proposed residents’ parking scheme in Compton Street, Grove View and other surrounding streets in Clifton. I understand that the public consultation has concluded with a majority supporting the proposal.

As a busy school and large employer in Clifton Ward we are very aware of our responsibilities relating to travel and transport. Parking on the school site is limited and we strongly discourage members of our school community from parking in local streets. A residents’ parking scheme would make that much easier to enforce and for people to consider alternative modes of travel to school.

We welcome any dialogue on this topic and particularly on encouraging cycling, walking and public transport access to the school. If you would like to set up a meeting to discuss further, please let me know and we would be delighted to meet you.
